Sign Ordering & Quote Request Guide

1. Select your sign style(s) from Budget Friendly, Modern Designs, and Traditional Lines.
2. Use the Customize-It tool to customize your sign with the text and colors you want.
3. Click the Submit SignSpec© Quote Request button to open up the quote request form.
4. Enter in your contact info and the facility contact info.
5. Check the box for Evac Maps if you will need those as well.
6. Select the sign style(s) and color selections you would like quoted.
7. Attach floor plans (zip files together) and then submit.

Sign Quotes

timeline

• Initial Quote: 5 business days after floor plan is uploaded
• Quote Revision Requests: 2-3 business days
• Custom Sign Line Quotes: 7 business days, 3 business days for revisions
• Production Lead-time: 6-12 weeks, once below completed

important notes

• Send both the Quote & the Sign Location Map to the customer for reviewing
• All questions in red must be answered before an order will go into production
• Assign a PO, making sure any evacuation maps are on a separate PO
• Once all questions are answered, due date will be entered into the EDI in nucleus

Evacuation Maps

• Initial Map Proofs: 3-5 business days
• Map Revision Requests: 3 business days
• Production Lead-time for Paper Maps: 10 business days
• Production Lead-time for Non-paper Maps: 6-12 weeks

important notes

• Maps will not be started until the PO is processed
• Maps must be on a separate PO from any other signs
• Include contact name and email for person proofing maps
• Cartography will email the supplied contact directly for revisions and approval
• Evac maps must be approved before they will go into production

common questions

Q: Do I need a new quote if all I change are the colors on my signs?
ANSWER: No. Changing the sign color or text color does not change the sign price nor the quote total.

Q: What is the quickest way to get my order into production?
ANSWER: Answering all of the questions in red as quickly as possible is the way to move things along. We cannot start producing any signs until all questions are answered. Also, ensure that evacuation maps are on a separate PO. Finally, make sure to provide a reliable contact for evacuation map proofing.

Q: Are there any tips to helping the client proceed with approving the quote?
ANSWER: Be sure to send over the Sign Location Map when sending the sign quote. The most common questions the client has when reviewing a quote is where a particular sign is going and why it is needed.
